Single Parent Action Network (SPAN)
Our strand of the project is a research collaboration between the University of Bristol and Single Parent Action Network. Together, we are researching the history of women’s work in the inner-city Lawrence Hill and Easton areas of Bristol. This history has often been overlooked, and can seem invisible as you walk the streets where you live. Over a seven week period, we will be putting together an exhibition, as well as organising a celebration of women’s history for all the family, and making a contribution to the Know Your Place website. This project gives us the chance to discuss the nature of women’s work then and now, as well as enjoy creating something tangible to share our research results.
